Introducing P&O the UK’s Largest Cruise Line

January 31st, 2008 · No Comments · Internet Marketing News

P&O Cruises are considered to be the UK’s largest and most popular cruise line; bearing in mind that they are actually American owned many associate them with being British. When their latest ship, Ventura, still under going sea trials, first went on sale, she sold out her first cruise on day one. A feat never achieved before in the UK.

P&O encompass all that cruises associate with cruising. They are one of the few traditional style cruise lines and are a match in quality to their sister company, the American styled Princess Cruises. There was a time when the two companies ran as P&O Princess, though under the Carnival Corporation banner, they are now run as two separate companies, be it in the same building in Southampton, Hampshire, England. This building is shared by both Cunard and Ocean Village, a small two ship cruise line owned by P&O. All four cruise lines are collectively known as the Complete Cruise Solution. Although Princess are the fourth largest cruise line world wide, in the UK they are not as big as the likes of Fred Olsen another traditional style though independent cruise line. That said their Sea Princess is often one of the first cruise ships to sell out when cruises are announced.
